Hahah, the line means "Don't be afraid if you like fish" and surströmming is a swedish speciality that we eat during certain holidays in the summer, amongst other. The fish is served raw, just like it is commonly done in Japan. Our countries are the only ones with traditional food made from raw fish :D
I bet, 90% of all food in japan is based upon fish, which I just made up. But I never got around to liking it, which is problematic
